How FranchiseKosh sources, checks and corrects franchise information, and what a blue tick means.

Draft — pending legal review. This page describes how the service works today and will be finalised after review by our legal advisers.

Where listings come from

Brand profiles are compiled from public sources and from information that brands submit or update themselves. Each profile shows structured facts such as investment range, space required, outlets, headquarters and expansion locations, plus fees and support when the brand has provided them.

What we show and don't show

  • We show only facts we hold. Missing information is left out, never estimated.
  • The summaries and answers on a brand page are generated from those stored facts with fixed rules, not written to promote a brand.
  • We do not publish ratings or reviews that we cannot attribute to real people.
  • Brands on paid plans may appear higher in lists. Payment never changes the facts shown about a brand.

What the blue tick means

A blue tick means a person from the brand proved they can manage the listing: either with an email address on the brand's own website domain, or through a manual review of the information they provided. It confirms who manages the listing — it is not an endorsement of the franchise or a guarantee of any figure.

Keeping information current

Brands that have claimed a listing can update it. Each brand page shows when it was last updated. Figures on unclaimed listings may be out of date; confirm everything with the brand.

Corrections

Use the report option on a brand page or email [email protected] with the page address and what is wrong. We review reports, correct verifiable errors and remove content that is misleading.
